When it comes to news and topics of interest, the guys at Labs have been busy. Google Hot Trends has for some time now been a great way of keeping up with the public's collective mind by showing the fastest-rising searches on Google at a point in time, and then showing articles and blog posts on that topic.
Yesterday they launched Fast Flip, which is yet another way of discovering news articles in a way that combines qualities of print magazines and the web so that you can flip through articles as quickly as flipping through pages in a magazine. Its very visual, can be customized to suit your interests and is another really cool news-reader app.
Postscript: Since writing this post I have been testing out Fast Flip some more, and its excellent - really worth checking out. There has been a lot written about it - check out this article from TechCrunch.
